Photosync Films and PPF JSC: A member of IRD Group
• Starting with IRD Inc. since 1992.
The “IRD Group” was established in 1992 under the name “IRD Inc” at 3340 Green Rd, Houston, TX 77032, USA. IRD Inc. focused on researching and developing new products and technologies for the transportation and aviation industries. IRD Inc.’s first achievement was creating composite materials made from mineral-reinforced fiberglass to replace metals in thermal insulation layers. These materials did not interfere with wireless signals but significantly reduced heat accumulation on surfaces.
• Introduction of “Photosync” by IRD Inc.
In 2002, IRD Inc. began producing scratch-resistant and solar heat-blocking protective films under the brand name “Photosync,” featuring two prominent product lines: Photosync window films and Photosync Paint Protection Films.
• Establishment of IRD Group
In 2006, IRD Group was established. At the same time, Prestige Films was founded in Roman, CA, USA, becoming the official business representative of IRD Group to distribute its products globally.
• IRD technology in “Photosync” window films patented
2012 marked a significant milestone for “IRD Group” when the IRD technology in Photosync window films was granted the US patent 8,304,099, known as Photosync Infrared Radiation Dispersion. This technology allows Photosync window films to reflect more than 96% of infrared radiation without reflecting visible light or affecting electromagnetic signals.
• Verified by the community
In 2014, Photosync window films and Photosync PPF were highly rated by the global communities of Tesla Motors Club and BMW Driving.
• IRD technology in “Photosync” Paint Protection Films patented
In 2015, the IRD technology in Photosync Paint Protection Films was granted the US patent 8,969,458 with the product named ClearGuard Alpha PPF. This was the world’s first PPF that could self-heal scratches at temperatures as low as -14 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Establishment of Photosync Films and PPF Company JSC
As IRD Group expanded its heat-blocking films and PPF solutions to the Asia-Pacific region, the differences in climate, car usage habits, and installation processes necessitated product improvements and upgrades. Consequently, production of window films and Paint Protection Films was moved from Prestige Film's factory to IRD Group's original factory.
From this initiative, “Photosync Films and PPF JSC,” a member of IRD Group, was born with the mission to support customers worldwide with “window films” and “Paint Protection Films” under the brand name “Photosync.”
